العدد الثاني والستون لشهر يناير / كانون ثاني 2018



‎‫نقدم لكم العدد الثاني والستين من مجلة الملحدين العرب، ونفتتحه بمقال «المنظور الإيطيقي لخطبة الجمعة الإسلامية» للدكتور عبد العزيز القناعي، وبعده نستكمل سلسلة مقالات «هدم أسطورة العفة»، وفي جزئها الخامس يكتب Moussa Eightyzz عن الدعارة الشرعية. في زاوية التوثيق تقرؤون عن ملابسات اعتقال الناشط المعروف باسم إبراهيم ديكارت. أما في حلقة هذا العدد من «رحلة الرافدين» فيكتب Mohammed Waleed عن أناشيد الملوك، تقرؤون بعدها خاطرة عنوانها «حلمٌ مجهَض» بقلم فاطمة الزهراء قايدي. ثم يقدم Mohammed Waleed دراسةً عن «الجذور التاريخية للصراع العقائدي الأشعري الحنبلي وتداعياته الحالية». أما الحلقة الحادية عشرة من «سيرة محمد بن آمنة» من منشورات شارلي إيبدو فهي بعنوان «التعبّد في الصحراء» ونختم بكاريكاتور جديد بريشة Moussa Eightyzz. نرجو أن تجدوا الفائدة والمتعة من قراءة هذا العدد.‬
‫Welcome to the 62nd issue of the Arab Atheists Magazine. We start with an article by Dr. Aziz Alqenaei "An ethical view of the Islamic Friday sermon". This is followed by the fifth installment of Moussa Eightyzz’ "Deconstructing the Myth of the Religion of Modesty". This time he writes about religious prostitution. In the documentation segment you will read about the circumstances of the arrest of the activist Ibrahim Decart. In the "Mesopotamian Journey" this time, Mohammed Waleed writes about the poems of kings. Then in a piece of flash prose, Fatima az-Zahra Qaidy writes "An aborted dream", followed by a piece by Mohammed Waleed titled "The historical roots of the doctrinal struggle between the Ash`ari and Hanbali schools and its implications on modern times". We end as usual with a new installment of the Arabic translation of Charlie Hebdo’s “La vie de Mahomet” followed by a cartoon by Moussa Eightyzz. خمس سنوات من التنوير وتستمر المجلة! نقدم لكم العدد الحادي والستين من مجلة الملحدين العرب، استكمالًا للسنة الخامسة واسشرافًا للسنة السادسة. نفتتح العدد بمقال للدكتور عبد العزيز القناعي بعنوان «القانون وحرية الرأي والتعبير» يتلوه الجزء الرابع من سلسلة مقالات «هدم أسطورة دين العفة» بقلم Moussa Eightyzz، وهذه المرة يكتب لنا عن الإسلام والزنا. وبمناسبة العيد الخامس للمجلة تكتب لنا رغد عقيلي شرحًا عن لوحة الغلاف الاحتفالية التي قامت برسمها بهذا المناسبة. ثم يستكمل Mohammed Waleed «رحلة الرافدين» حيث يكتب هذه المرة عن ميراث آشور. وفي زاوية التوثيق نستذكر حياة الناشط جان برو بلسان أصدقائه وعائلته. بعد ذلك، يبدأ Colin M Wilson سلسلة مقالات بعنوان «جدران الكهف عبارة عن أفكار» وعنوان هذا المقال «حدث خارج الكهف». وبمناسبة العيد الخامس يكتب Ahmad F. We are excited to introduce the five-year issue of the Arab Atheists Magazine! We start with Dr. Aziz Alqenaei's "Rule of law and freedom of expression", then in the fourth part of Moussa Eightyzz' "Deconstructing the Myth of the Religion of Modesty", you'll read about Islam and adultery. Celebrating the Magazine's fifth year, Raghed Akili writes about the painting she created especially for the cover of this issue. Then, Mohammed Waleed talks about the legacy of Assyria in the fourth installment of "Mesopotamian Journey". In the Documentation section, we remember the life of the late activist Jan Barrow. This is followed by the first in a new series of articles by Colin M. Wilson titled "The Cave Walls are Mere Thoughts". After that, Ahmad F. Alabbasi celebrates the 5-year issue with a piece called "Prometheus and our wild desire to light a candle in the darkness". We end as usual with a new installment of the Arabic translation of Charlie Hebdo's "La vie de Mahomet" followed by a cartoon by Moussa Eightytzz. ‫We introduce the 60th issue of the Arab Atheists Magazine. The opening is with a piece by Dr. Aziz Alqenaei titled “Secularism as an Exit Strategy for Arab Uprisings”. This is followed by the third part of Moussa Eightyzz’s “Deconstructing the Myth of the Religion of Modesty”, and this time it is about Islam and marriage, then you read the third part of “The Mesopotamian Journey” by Mohammed Waleed, where he writes about the final appearance of Sumer and the rise of Babylon. The feature article this time “Losing our religion: Your guide to a godless future” is written by Graham Lawton and translated by Usama al-Binni, it explores various aspects of the process of leaving religion. Next, Usama al-Binni reviews the “Myth of Sisyphyus” by Albert Camus, then Ta’ir Hur writes “The Last God Dismounts!”. This is followed by a new episode in the Arabic translation of Charlie Hebdo’s “La vie de Mahomet”, and then the fourth and last installment of Noha Selem’s novel “The Fall of God”. Welcome to the 59th issue of the Arab Atheists Magazine‪.‬ We open with ‪“‬al‪-Qasemi”‬ an article by Dr‪.‬ Aziz ‪Alqenaei, then the second installment of Moussa Eightyzz’s “Deconstructing the myth of the religion of modesty”, this time about modesty of prophets, followed by the second part of “The Mesopotamian Journey” by Mohammed Waleed, where he writes about the Mesopotamian myths of genesis. After that, you’ll read a short story by Rwaida Salem titled “That’s How I saw God”. Then Usama al-Binni presents a translation of “Ex-Muslims of India” by Tofail Ahmad. The book review this time is by Shadi Salimi who reviews “Arabs and the future of nationalist cultures” by Midhat Mahfooz. Our feature article this month is about a recent mysterious religion by Ta’ir Hur with the title “Introducing Raëlism”. This is followed by a translation of a piece on Waleed al-Husseini by Barry Duke called “Palestinian exile publishes book
about his rejection of Islam”. This month Majd Ha reviews Stephen Hawking’s “A Brief History of Time”. The feature article this time is the first in a series of articles by Mohammed Waleed reviewing the history and mythology of Mesopotamia, this one will examine the beginnings. Then we read the second installment of “Arab Colonialism: A Bloody Page in Egypt’s History” by Ehab Elkstawy. This is followed by “Arab Colonialism: A Bloody Page in Egypt’s History” by Ehab Elkstawy. After that, Omar Hussein writes “Deism: Between Religion and Atheism”. This month’s book review is by Shadi Slimi, where he writes about “Pedagogy of the Oppressed” by Brazilian thinker Paulo Freire. The featured article for this issue is about Iraqi thinker and writer Jamil az-Zahawi, where Ahmad F. Alabbasi talks about his legacy in “Atheist from Baghdad”. Then, Usama al-Binni explores the Common Misconception “You Become Atheists to Free Yourselves from Morality”. Following that is a new episode in the Arabic translation of Charlie Hebdo’s “La vie de Mahomet”, and then we start a new serialized novel titled “The Fall of God” by Noah Selem, and end as usual with a cartoon by Moussa Eightyzz. نقدم لكم العدد الخامس والخمسين من مجلة الملحدين العرب. نفتتح هذا العدد بمقالٍ للدكتور عبد العزيزي القناعي يعالج فيه بعض إشكالات المجتمع الخليجي وعنوانه «أماكن الظلام في المجتمعات الخليجية»، بعد ذلك تقرؤون مقالًا عن مفهوم السماء في الإسلام بعنوان «السماء الخنفشارية والإزعاج العلمي» لكاتبه Moh Alakan، ثم يقدم لنا الشيخ ديكارت «ولا تقل لهما أفٍ ولا تنهرهما». بعده يكتب مصطفى عابدين عن «مشكلة في فهم الانتقاء الطبيعي»، ويتلو ذلك المقال الرئيسي لهذا العدد «الفلسفة في خدمة الله» بقلم هشام آدم. ثم يقدم لنا خالد الوحيمد مقالًا عن الانتحار عنوانه «رحلة انتحارٍ موفقة». أما في زاوية تصحيح المفاهيم فيكتب أسامة البني (الوراق) هذه المرة عن «العلم واليقين»، تتبعها الحلقة الرابعة من سيرة محمد بن آمنة مترجمة عن منشورات شارلي إيبدو. ولمتابعي رواية فاتنة تجدون بعد ذلك الحلقة قبل الأخيرة. ونختم كعادتنا بكاريكاتور بريشة الفنان موسى ثمانون. قراءةً ممتعة ومفيدة نتمناها لكم.

Welcome to the 55th issue of the Arab Atheists Magazine. We open this issue with a piece by Aziz Alqenaei on the problematic nature of Arab Gulf societies titled “The Dark Regions of Gulf Societies”. Then Moh Alakan writes the non-sensical use of the term ‘heaven’ in Islam in “The Whimsical Sky and Pseudo-Science”. This is followed by Sheikh Descartes “Do Not Say uff to Your Parents and Do Not Repel Them”. Mustafa Abdin then writes on “Problems Understanding Natural Selection”. This is followed this issue’s feature: “Philosophy in the Service of Allah” by Hisham Adam, and then a piece by Khaled al-W’heimid titled “Wish You a Happy Suicide”. Then we read about this month’s common misconception on “Science and Certainty” by Usama al-Binni. After that you’ll read the fourth part of a translation of Charlie Hebdo’s “La Vie de Mahomet,” and then the installment before last of Sam Mar’s novel “Fatinah”. We open this issue with a piece by Aziz Alqenaei on the killing of a Pakistani student activist titled “Mashal Khan and Provoking Muslim Sentiments”. Then Ehab Elkstawy writes an investigation into historical precedents of ISIS in Islamic history in “The Forefathers of ISIS”. Adel Ahmed then reviews Darwin’s classic “The Origin of Species”. This is followed by “The Fall of the Theory of Religious Morals” by Karrar Al Asfoor, and then a documentation of the hideous murder of Amjad abdul Rahman, the Yemeni activist. Then we read Daniel Dennett’s article “Thank Goodness”, translated and prefaced by Usama al-Binni. This month’s interview is with the Sudanese writer Hisham Adam. After that you’ll read the third part of a translation of Charlie Hebdo’s “La Vie de Mahomet”, and then a new installment of Sam Mar’s novel “Fatinah”. نقدم لكم العدد الثالث والخمسين من مجلة الملحدين العرب. نفتتح العدد بمقالٍ للدكتور عبد العزيز القناعي بعنوان «انتهاك الحرية الفردية والسلطة الأبوية»، تتلوه مساهمةٌ جديدةٌ بقلم Mohammed Waleed وعنوانها «عقوبة العبد المتمرد في الإسلام»، ثم نقرأ «صرخة من الجحيم» وهي قصةٌ قصيرة كتبها Mohamed Lakhdim. أما في زاوية قراءةٍ في كتابٍ هذه المرة، فيقدم لنا شادي سليمي كتاب «محنتي مع القرآن ومع الله في القرآن» لكاتبه عباس عبد النور. مقالنا المركزي في هذا العدد هو «تحدي الإسلام» تكتبه الباحثة د. نتالي خزعل وتلخص فيه بحثًا أكاديميًا أجرته خلال العام الماضي عن مجلة الملحدين العرب وعن دور الأسماء المستعارة في خلق هويةٍ متحديةٍ للدين. تم نشر البحث الأصلي في مجلة محكّمة وقامت د. خزعل بتلخيصه لنا في مقالٍ خاصٍ بالمجلة. يتبع ذلك حوار العدد، وهذه المرة نستضيف فيه طلعت ميشو، ومن ثم نقدم الحلقة الثانية من سلسلة «سيرة محمد بن آمنة» المترجمة عن الأصل الفرنسي لشارلي إيبدو. أما توثيق هذا العدد فيتعلق بما تعرض له د. عبد العزيز القناعي إثر ظهوره على برنامج «الاتجاه المعاكس» على قناة الجزيرة. وفي «تصحيح المفاهيم» يتعرض Ahmad F. Alabbasi هذه المرة لسوء فهمٍ شائعٍ لدى البعض في «هل أصل الإنسان قرد؟». وكما عودناكم، نختم بحلقةٍ جديدةٍ من رواية فاتنة متبوعةً بكاريكاتور لموسى ثمانون مع بعض التعليقات عليه. نتمنى لكم قراءة مفيدة ومشوقة.

We introduce the 53rd issue of the Arab Atheists Magazine. This issue opens with a piece by Aziz Alqenaei, titled “Violation of Individual Freedom and Patriarchal Power”, followed by “The Punishment of the Runaway Slave in Islam”; a new contribution by Mohammed Waleed, then a short story called “A Cry from Hell” by Mohamed Lakhdim. Shadi Slimi reviews this time the book “My Ordeal with the Quran and with Allah in the Quran” by Abbas abd-in-Nour. Our featured article this issue is by Dr. Natalie Khazaal titled “Defiance in Islam”, which is a summary of her recent published research into the cultural politics of defiance in Islam, and in particular, into the use of pseudonyms as a destigmatizing tool by contributors in the Arab Atheists Magazine. The interview this is time is with Talaat Misho, followed by the second installment of the Arabic translation of Charlie Hebdo’s “La Vie de Mahomet”. This issue documents the ordeal that Aziz Alqenaei had to undergo after his appearance on Aljazeera’s “The Opposite Direction”. Ahmad F. Alabbasi then writes about the “Common Misconception” for this time addressing the question “Are humans descended from monkeys?”. Then you’ll read a new installment of Sam Mar’s novel “Fatinah”, and we end as usual with a cartoon by Moussa Eightyzz. We hope you enjoy what we have in store this time.
